Yomahra Gonzalez (b. 1989, Los Angeles) is an artisanal leather-worker based in Mexico City. With over 12 years of experience, her studio specializes in vegetable tanned leather, which can be molded, tooled and dyed to nearly any finish. Using no machinery, every piece is hand-cut, hand-stitched, and accented with hardware sourced in Mexico City and its surrounding areas. In addition to her capsule collections, she works in collaboration with artist rafa esparza to fabricate fine-art leather-work pieces that have been exhibited at the MCA Denver and SFMoMa.
